Buongiorno from Puglia, Italy!
We are now back in California after our amazing Puglia, Italy, end-of-summer adventure. And what an adventure it was! Puglia isn't one of the most known or popular tourist destinations in Italy, but it's certainly one filled to the brim with heart, soul and beauty.
Clear Skies & Calm Waters...
First, let me say I would highly recommend staying at the Borgo Egnazia hotel. Definitely one of my best hotel experiences ever- and after 50+ Global Tribe Retreats, you could say I've had a few...
Our days started at 8 AM where our group gathered each with a bicycle and a yoga mat. Then we rode together about a mile and a half to the Borgo beach club for our morning flow practice. After doing yoga for 75 min we would all dive into the beautiful, clear Adriatic Sea, then dry off, jump on our bicycles, and return to the Borgo for a group breakfast. Hands down the most expansive and diversified farm to table buffet I’ve ever experienced!
...The Pleasures of Italy
During the days our activities would vary; from a boat trip along the coast, to a day at the spa, swimming and lounging at the beach club or one of the property's many pools, or a local excursion to one of the charming rustic villages in the area.
Finally, we'd close the day with class in the early evening, typically a yin/meditation oriented class, then off to a splendid Italian dinner. In Italy (as in many Mediterranean countries) dinner usually lasts for hours. And we're not complaining! It always includes talking dancing and laughter lots of laughter, especially when you're with your tribe.
Beyond Grateful...
I am grateful to the Weather Gods for the hot, sunny days and warm, balmy nights. I am also grateful to our new family and friends we now call Tribe, and of course to Nina for her expertise and brilliant coordination and juggling skills- she makes everything seem so effortless, easy and fun!
These trips are my passion and my joy. I love leading the trips with all my heart and all my gusto.
